Ok…So after I finished and posted Preterist Radio’s June update a few people contacted me asking what it would cost for me to be able to dedicate my full-time effort to keeping Preterist Radio @ AD70.NET on the air and growing. The following are the minimum costs if I were independently wealthy and didn’t need an income to support my family.

These costs have been covered by listener support over the last 8 months with enough extra to help build and launch AD70.TV/Preterist.TV also. It cost approximately $1100 to get to the point where it was fully functional. Ongoing monthly cost for Preterist TV at this point is just over $100. However I’m going to be moving to a different server that costs less than half this next month.
Beyond the physical costs of keeping the Preterist Broadcast Network up and running, there is the cost of my time spent making it all happen. Simply keeping everything running and up to date takes approximately 40 hours a week, spread out over 7 days. I don’t get days off unless I go out of the way to make it happen for holidays and special occasions.
Which brings us to the meat and potatoes of this post. I’m in a place where Preterist Radio is going to have to help me provide for my family or I’m going to have to put Preterist Radio on hold and go back to work at my old job. Fortunately for me, my wife’s job provides us with some income and medical benefits. However it is not enough to cover the basics. I need to make sure my families needs are met before I even begin to attempt to serve others.
The minimum amount that I would need in support to dedicate full time effort to the Preterist Broadcast Network would be approximately $2500 a month. Still about half of what I would make in my other profession but enough to cover the basics.
This present opportunity that has been made possible is by no means small or insignificant. And it is my hope is that every preterist out there would see the value in what we have thus far been able to accomplish through the Preterist Broadcast Network. Not only have we been broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 8 months, but we’ve also built up a podcast archive of about 350 podcasts. It’s my hope that this number continue to grow indefinitely into a valuable and free resource for many years to come.
Personally, I’ve invested close to $5000 and more than 1500 hours into making the Preterist Broadcast Network what it is today and if it weren’t for listener support we wouldn’t have made it this far. I will continue to put all my talents and efforts in to the Preterist Broadcast Network as long as the finances are available. And in case you are wondering I’m between 30 and 60 days away from having to go back to work at my old job.
$5 a month from 500 people would ensure the future of the Preterist Broadcast Network. Anything above and beyond this amount will be used to promote and advertise what we are doing with things like bumper stickers, hats, shirts, and cards to hand out. And eventually things like billboards and banners on the side of buses.
The Preterist Broadcast Network is a place of fellowship for many who have no church home to call their own. And a very loud voice in the effort to promote this message of fulfillment. Let’s not let something as small as 17 cents a day stand between us and this message of hope that will bring healing to the nations.
I don’t want my kids growing up in a futurist world. However, I must do what is necessary to provide for my family.
